Dear, I have been trying to contact the ZOL-Limburg website for a long time, but I keep getting an error message. I would like to receive an answer to the following question from the ZOL-Limburg ASAP. I am Belgian and have been living in Thailand for 18 years. But I am still entitled to the intervention of the health insurance fund in Belgium. Last week, Tuesday, a medical examination identified an anomaly on my Aorta and I was recommended to contact my Cardiologist for surgery as soon as possible. This should happen as soon as possible as an Aortic fracture would be imminent. I contacted my Cardiologist in Thailand and have an appointment for next Tuesday. Everything suggests that a major operation is on the way. However, in Thailand I cannot rely on the health insurance fund and the nature of the operation suggests that the price will be very expensive and possibly unaffordable with my budget as a pensioner. For this reason, I have already planned a trip to Belgium. I would have liked to hear from ZOL-Limburg: 1. Is the situation really serious and is surgery really necessary asap? 2. If I were to fly to Belgium urgently, do I have to take into account a waiting period before admission and surgery would take place in the hospital? Thanks in advance. Trivino y Garcia A. My Cardiologist in Belgium was also my "family doctor / General Practician" and I decided to send him an email to ask for his about the Aneurysm and flying to Belgium in my condition.

Do you have any other scans? Do you suffer from back pain in particular I can quickly arrange an intervention. We still have some time on the basis of parameters. I can upload if you wish. My back hurts terribly. But I never looked further and thought that is inherent to my age. I have an appointment with the cardiologist (Dr Pinit) and the vascular surgeon on Tuesday, August 14 at the Maharaj (people's hospital). I was with Dr. Pinit on Saturday and my blood pressure was 210/90. They have lowered that blood pressure by administering different Beta blockers. But that high blood pressure can be fatal to my Aorta. Also keep in mind that I currently have Diabetes and my Glucose level varies between 180 and 250. Thank you for the quick reply.
